We ask that you abide by not just the letter of these rules, but the spirit as well. The issue here is really that the de jure map is nonsense on a conceptual level rather than with the AI making ugly de jure borders. Reddit and its communities are only what we make of them together, and can only exist if we operate by a shared set of rules. These rules are enforced by us, the admins. You'll have to gain some karma and wait a few days for the restrictions to start lifting. Perhaps submissions have been restricted, either by the moderators, or by Reddit if the moderators are no longer active. New accounts are not allowed to chat/message until they've engaged on the site and gained karma. Its hard to say without knowing which subreddit it is. Please abide by the rules of communities in which you participate and do not interfere with those in which you are not a member.īelow the rules governing each community are the platform-wide rules that apply to everyone on Reddit. That 'weird problem' would be the karma/account age restriction on messaging. Send facebook support requests multiple times describing the situation but nothing changed and no one even contacted me back. Im not russian and dont live in russia as well. The culture of each community is shaped explicitly, by the community rules enforced by moderators, and implicitly, by the upvotes, downvotes, and discussions of its community members. Im not really in the same boat but close. Some of these users help manage the community as moderators. Its never another person, just fragments of one. I cant describe what someone else is experiencing in that way. I struggle to talk about what happens, not because its gone, but because it just wasnt me. Likewise, everyone on Reddit should have an expectation of privacy and safety, so please respect the privacy and safety of others.Įvery community on Reddit is defined by its users. Im always still me, it just doesnt feel that way. So the devs fixed the original bug but nobody is talking about this one. Communities should create a sense of belonging for their members, not try to diminish it for others. I can not join their game, instead if I press join the screen loads up a buy ultimate or Xbox live sales pitch. I guess its a nice feature to realise youre getting mass downvoted, instantly as you post. But you can lose a lot of karma this way. Sometimes youre like so what if they downvote me instantly as I post, Im gonna post my opinion. While not every community may be for you (and you may find some unrelatable or even offensive), no community should be used as a weapon. Getting downvoted to hell as this community doesnt share my views. Through these communities, you can post, comment, vote, discuss, learn, debate, support, and connect with people who share your interests, and we encourage you to find-or even create-your home on Reddit. Reddit is a vast network of communities that are created, run, and populated by you, the Reddit users.
